So I'm in the market for a topper for my 2016 SR5 DCSB. I did the whole "build your own" thing on ARE's website and forwarded it to my local dealer for a quote. I got their response today and they said that the outdoorsman windoor option isnt available for the short bed tacoma. These windoors, or something similar, are a must have for me and I'm not sure why I can even select that as an option if its not available. Has anyone else been told its not possible? Does anyone have an ARE topper with windoors on a short bed? If it really isnt possible, are there any other models or companies with a windoor option that is possible?? Thanks for your help TW!

Did you ever get any resolution to your question here? I have the same truck and want the same cap.

I don't have the answer to this question BUT I spent a lot of time shopping camper shells with vendors in Hawaii (where I live) and Las Vegas (where I'm moving to). One thing I noticed is that most of them were not well-informed about the shells and didn't seem to give a crap about selling one. And by "most" I mean all but one. My suggestion is you keep calling around (don't just do the build your own online) until you find someone that knows their shit. It may be true that the ARE CX doesn't come with windoors but it's definitely possible that the vendor doesn't know enough about the product.
