UPDATE- I CANCELLED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE PRE PAID SERVICE CONTRACTS. TO AVOID CONFUSION, HERE IS THE FINAL.

    2020 TRD SPORT
ASKING 44.8+ AFTER NEGOTIATING 41.5 THEN ( credit 1500 rebate and 500 military rebate) 39.5 AFTER TAX/ LIC AND FEES 44.2 OTD I think I got a decent deal. Also, in the deal free they installed a rear corner step to access the tailgate and the pulse braking. Also 3.79 was the rate. Paying it off after 1st. Payment.

THIS IS THE FINAL DEAL AFTER REMOVING THE EXTENDED FEES. HOPPING I GOT A DECENT DEAL!??!!

Excellent! Canceling both was a smart move. Purchasing an extended warranty on a Toyota is like pissing money away.

I got a call from a local dealer saying people are not coming in due to the virus, and they are willing to do everything they can to take every deal at this point.

Thoughts?.. Just another sales ploy? Or legit due to people not being out and about? Ohio closed all resturants and bars effective tonight so I imagine foot traffic isn't too high at the dealerships...

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I went food shopping today and found zero toilet paper, water, seafood, tortillas or milk.

Couldnt be more wrong, especially given all the new tech, there are countless threads here for the timing cover leak, bsm modules going out. You can easily negotiate a 6yr/125k platinum for $1000 which would be what either of those things would cost you out of warranty.

Read the fine print. They were written in favor of the auto manufacturer by lawyers to protect them, not you.

Okay bud both of those things are covered "in the fine print." You clearly have a very narrow mindset. A fully loaded truck with a moonroof, BSM, cameras everywhere and known problems around the 40-50k mark, a $1000 insurance policy doesnt seem like a bad idea, I look forward to your post about the $3000 bill when your timing cover leaks and needs replaced outside warranty.

No shortages on that stuff, only supply chain issues. For example, Walmart distribution centers know then need 10000 cases of toilet paper a week for the stores they service, the herd mentality of panic buying has far exceeded that. It takes time to schedule addition shipments. I worked 29 years at a large paper mill, talked to a buddy still there, warehouses still full, addition shipments are scheduled, production is shifting more towards consumer products
Same goes for water, I now work for a Coca Cola distributor, we still have pallets of water in warehouse. Our normal Saturday is 3 routes. We had six this Saturday. Extra pallets of hydration, water,Powerade ect to walmarts. I’m sure Monday will be heavy also, just take a while for supply chain to catch up to unplanned surges.

I spent 4hrs at the dealer 3/14/2020 buying my Taco.I wouldn't say they were overwhelmed with customers but the had plenty of business going on. It's a semi-small dealer and I saw 4 other vehicles sold while I was there. But it could get worse in the coming days.

Thats when its a dumb move, you can get that for $1040, I just did on my 2020. Zero deductible, Toyota Platinum, 6yr/125k, went with my guy in AZ, the dealer here tried to sell me it for $2860, I laughed and said no thanks I'll buy from my other guy.

The bottom line is that you are purchasing a 3/year 89k extended warranty since the 3-year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty comes with the truck. The finance guy/gal don't like telling you that during their sales pitch.
