2019 MT access cab Sport. Thinking that sliders make the most sense as my first armor purchase, and after several weeks of studying have gotten my choice down to two companies. Wondering if anyone can tell me things I didn't think of?

    * Arizon company vs Texas company (re: shipping to Tacoma, WA region)
    * both have virtually identical products (same size tubing, etc)
    * shrockworks uses 1/16" thicker frame plates
    * both bolt directly to frame only and can be used on hi-lift
    * both offer 30 degree angle I want (nice and tight, not wanting a step)
    * both offer black powder coating (I understand the shipping concerns)
    * total price difference is $30, due to powder coating price
    * I don't know the total shipping from each company which may be a substantial difference

    Shrockworks ($640.00) vs. Avid ($670.00)

I suppose if either has a coupon or free/discounted shipping or something like that I'd go with them...thoughts?

This doesn’t answer you question directly but have you considered BAMF?

They are on the West coast and might save you some on shipping.
They have a “deal of the day” and sliders do pop up (maybe additional savings :notsure:). Also, anything manufactured by BAMF is pure beef, stout AF.

I think sliders from all the typical options are going to do what you need them to do, e.g. protect rockers, place to stand on, use a jack, etc. You can get yourself off in the weeds trying to find a "best" since the criteria may not be the same for everyone. I'd try to figure out which option tends to have the best reputation for fitting well from a shop that seems reliable. I think the more common issue is being duped out of money than a slider that doesn't functionally perform.

Thanks, I did consider them but they are $840 before shipping, their frame plates are (like Avid) 1/4" thinner than Shrockworks, and while located much closer to me they include a rear kickout which I don't want.
