3" of lift or more could also require shims to realign the drive line angles of the shafts/rear axle so be careful. It's easier and cheaper to reduce the diameter of the tires and get a less expensive lift kit. Especially if you're not gonna go crazy off road. Then spend the savings on some minor armor upgrades.

But we have a member in the thread that can help with assembly if/when he's available. There's a place in Forest Hill called Forest Hill Automotive. They do good work for my buddy all the time. There is another place called Grimm Auto Works, also in Forest Hill that I highly recommend but I am not sure they assemble coilovers. Give each a call, but call Grimm's first.

Thanks, I know of Forest Hill Auto and am sure I’ve seen Grimm’s. I’ve been in Forest Hill and Bel Air since 2007 and grew up in other parts of Harford County I don’t think the lift will be a true 3”, probably closer to 2.75 but I’m waiting to get the full specs from the site, since they’re not listed. Also hoping they send me the instal instructions to take a look at.

Cool. It's a slippery slope for sure. Add in that each Taco is different somehow and it's hard to get a good feel for what your situation will be like until you are in the process.

Oh, and Gimm will be my go to for any shop needs after talking with the owner Don, and the recommendation from a co-worker.

That would be fine with me, however I don't think either of us just sitting in lawn chairs drinking beers looking at the coilovers is an effective method. That's basically all I am capable of. Now, I can definitely take shit apart without any problems. I need to be told when to stop though.

If I were you save some money and upgrade a little more. Maybe bilstien 6112 with the 5160 in the rear. Lot of people with more knowledge then me but I think If you have 3 inch in the front it will be rough ride. Research this first and also why 285? Buy once IMHO

That might not be a bad option as well, I’ll have to look into those. No real reason why the 285s, it’s just I had them on my 2006 when I owned it and liked them. Though they are a bit different.
This was her with a 3” Toytec spacer lift/level and 285/75r16s back from 06/07. I really think those were the tire size...

Every shop is going to charge an arm and a leg for even the most simple suspension install. Seems like no matter what, a cab mount chop is required to fit 285’s with little to no rub. Definitely over research.
