Oh man. Now this thread is begging for tips and proper methods.

The biggest problem with most of those is only one ramp used. The one guy that had two ramps rode down the gap? Use both ramps with the second to walk on.

Also none were tied off to the hitch to keep them from moving. The one that the bike will use should be centered in the bed. An angled strap will move also.

As noted above about the OP's H-D, the breakover is gonna be a problem. It will be the same for most any street bike as seen in the video.

My Duc loaded in a friend's Chevy just before I bought that Taco:

That was one of the main reasons for getting the Taco. Rescue Truck!

I've had a Katana 600 in my bed. No pics, but on a moist day with three folks, it was not a piece of cake. Still, got it picked up and delivered without a scratch.

I haul my bike to the drag strip almost every week 462lbs....no issues loading it myself.

Which hitch carrier are you using? I've been looking into one lately.

It always requires 2 people, somebody has to hold the camera.

$15/day for a uhaul trailer. Easy to load, secure, and can do it myself. Loading bikes into pickups is risky unless you can load and unload the bike on a shipping dock.

I loaded my wr250r in the back when i bought it, but it's only like 250lbs. Even that wasn't fun to load/unload I think with the correct ramps it would be much better. I'll prolly get a hitch hauler next time i want to move it.

Surprised no one has asked...but how are you going to close the tailgate when you’re standing in the bed?

    OME and worth every penny.
One wheel is going to be on the tailgate. I don't know if I trust a Taco tailgate with a Harley rear wheel on it.
If 500# range, Sportster? Prob. Ok. I think all the F's are well over 600 aren't they? Prob. 50/50 weight? that puts 3-- on the tailgate.

I put a piece of 3/4” plywood across the tailgate/bed interface whenever I load bikes. And my heaviest supermotos are under 400lbs...

Better safe than sorry. Even though it is somewhat better reinforced than the 2nd gen tailgate, one look at what’s inside our tailgate will tell you it’s wimpy as fark.

i recently purchase a 2020 long bed and will be using it mainly to haul my motorcycle on the bed. I haven't got a chance to try and load it myself yet, but hoping it wont be difficult. I also just install the air lift rear to level any sag.
