    Shits coming down. Someone very close to me manages a team of 11 people. She was told to pick 2 for the first round on Friday. 2 more for next Friday and 2 more for the third round that they hope doesn’t come. This if for layoffs. First 2 are permanent lay-off. The other four will hopefully be called back.

    This is nuts.
    I'm just old enough to remember the epidemics of polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, mumps. measles, german measles, etc.
    There used to be quite significant mortality for all of those.
    Nobody lost their heads over it like now. They carried on.

    My mother grew up in the deep south and had malaria a couple times.
    It came back each summer. And killed many people.

    Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that people have lost their fucking minds.
