    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
Yes, I know there are threads out there, a million and two of them.

Here is what I am going to do to my 2008 SR5 Access cab 4WD.

Looking for - your input/thoughts/suggestions/help. Thank you.

Miles driven last year approx. 2K, expecting it to be no more than 4/5K on average moving forward.Very little off road, probably occasional, once this work is done.

Want:Small lift no more than 2 inches, I have a plow and don’t want to have issues with that.

Truck has 174K miles so I’m willing/wanting to put new suspension and springs up front to renew ride and help with plow when it’s on, (most of winter). I tend to put it on, plow what I have to and then the truck will sit ready for next snowfall. I tend not to drive truck unless it’s real bad out.

I will be putting on 3rd gen OR take offs. In front (coil overs) and rear (shocks). Set up is said to have no more than 500 miles on them, they look dam clean.

I do have 17x7 wheels from a 4runner, want to use these.

Question 1 – what would it do if I put ¼ top plate spacers on?

Question 2 – thinking I don’t need to correct for Taco lean as I’m putting on factory set up (albeit 3rd gen).

    Question 3 – I don’t mind trimming if I have to.
    Tires – 265/70/17
    265/75/17
    270/70/17
    275/70/17
    Other??

    Question 4 – What did I forget?

So all that said, bear in mind, most of the time when I’m driving truck without plow, it should look cool. Not too bothered if front dips a little with plow on. Looking for even stance when plow is not on truck. Don’t like rake.

    I think that’s it.

I will be doing all the labor myself.

Seeing that I posted this in the garage forum under the suspension heading I did not know that it was not to include 2nd gens
Thought the garage forum was for all general suspension questions

You’re in the right forum don’t worry about that.

1/4” spacer will give you an additional 1/2” of lift. So you will probably end up somewhere between 1 and 1.5” if I had to guess. You could go with a 1/2” spacer if you want to get closer to 2”.

As far as tires 265/75/17 and 270/70/17 aren’t real sizes. You might also consider 255/75/17. Same diameter as a 265/70/17 but 1/2” narrower.

Everything navigator said is spot on, if you go any taller than the 1/2” spacer, you’ll probably have to go get an alignment, for how little driving you’re doing, you can probably get away without paying for an alignment if you staying under that 1/2” spacer size. As for tires, figure out what exact tire you want and then shop between the 255/75R17 and 265/70R17 and find the more affordable one, the size difference is so insignificant it isn’t worth buying one or the other based on anything other than price.

Cost is a factor but the alignment and tires will come from a garage I worked at
Minimal charge for the alignment and he is real good in doing these knows his stuff
    Tires at cost

Good call. Any time you mess with the front end you need an alignment.
