Does anyone here use a magnetic oil pan drain plug? If so, where did y'all buy it? I have a 2019 4-cylinder. Thanks.

Go to Harbor Freight and get one of the magnetic tool holder strips. Break the magnet into 4 inch strips and place them on your oil pan. Take them off while the oil is drained. It'll work better than the drain plugs.

Don't bother. I bought a Gold Plug P/N AP-03 and used it on my previous truck. Went back to the OEM drain plug after two oil changes. Nothing significant collected on the magnet (because the oil filter does a good job). When installing the plug, the strong magnet gravitated toward the side of the hole, making it more difficult to thread in, especially if you have upgraded skid plates with a small cutout.

You can also find magnets that wrap around the oil filter.

It's not necessary, the 4 banger is strong and can run on dish soap if it felt like it.

Completely unnecessary in my opinion. The reason diffs have magnetic drain plugs is because they have no filter to catch metal shavings/debris. In your engine that's what your oil filter is for. It takes care of all of that just fine.

    OME and worth every penny.
The engine bearings are the biggest wear point and they are made of softer material than the crank and/or rods.

You could get some timing component material but that will probably make noise if failing.
