***Newbie*** Feel free to direct me to the right thread if this has already been discussed. Thanks

09 Tacoma 197k AT 265/75/16 and leveling kit

From a dead stop to accelerating there is a bounce in the rear-end for a few seconds then it clears ups and drives fine with no other issues. Happens every time I come to a complete stop and take off. I've been told leaf-springs just wanted to verify before I dump 3-500$ on new springs.
    Thanks for any input

Try removing the leveling kit and retorque your leaf spring u-bolts to 90 ft-lbs.

    Probably axle wrap..

If it is not axle wrap it's your carrier bearing and you should probably check to make sure that does not have a bunch of slop before you go chasing the rear end first.

I would also check the condition of your carrier bearing for the driveshaft. Make sure it is not all worn out.

Try torquing your leaf spring bolts. It’s free and it’s a possibility. 90ft. Lbs

Please note that the recommended torque values for the rear leaf u-bolts is not 90 ft/lbs but 73ft/lbs. Not likely an issue but no need to test the limit of possibly stripping the threads.
