Question for all you 4Runner people. I found a T4R forum where guys were doing a "Tacoma TRD suspension swap" ... What years/models apply?

Can I put my stock 2011 Taco TRD Off-Road suspension on my friends 2005 4Runner?

She has a blown rear shock, and I have takeoffs from when I went Icon. Wondering if we can put my rear TRD OF shocks on the rear of her Runner.

    Thanks.

Might be worth researching as I know that some 4Runner and FJ cruiser suspension parts interchange. So it is possible that Tacoma parts may.

That's what I'm trying to do now. Haha.

it looks like a lot of people add Toyota Tacoma suspension to their older 4runners. I just don't know what years can do it

Cut & broke off some stuff.
I don't know about rear shocks.
I say just try it. Worst case you blow a free shock, right?

I do know 2nd gen taco front shock assembly fits 5th gen 4Runner.
Spring rate and shock valving is a little different so ride may not be to some people's liking.
