I think you missed the part where I was just busting your balls about how wide the road was.

Obviously the joke didn't land, so no offense. I fully respect you running a trail that offers imminent death and don't disagree in the slightest that our trucks have huge noses.

I’m 6’ 5” and have to strain to see over the hood, a pain. Toyota makes the Hilux that passes the very strict European pedestrian safety rules and they have a very-Camry like hood.

I think they did it for styling purposes. I think they think the North American buyers want it because it looks tough, sloping hoods are a sign of Honda Ridgeline wussy

I'm 5'8 and my head almost hits the roof. Not sure about straining to see out, but it's manageable. I'll usually look out the side window too. Not the best visibility, but could be worse

I hate that "warped" body style used by the Hilux, Ranger, and Colorado. They all seem like the front end is sucked by a vacuum

For me i like the Hilux cause i can see out so much better, but it’s just my opinion. If i could have figured out how to buy a new Hilux or Landcruiser 200 and modify it like I did my taco, i would have jumped on it.

Have you ever driven a Hilux? I love how they drive but hate how they look. I feel really small in my Tacoma when I'm next to a Raptor or something like that, but being in a Hilux feels way smaller

I'm 5'6 and my waist is high which means I have long legs and small torso. A booster seat is what I use to have my shoulders higher than the bottom of my driver side window plus it does give me better visibility

ALL trucks nowadays. If it's for pedestrian safety what about Lamborghini's?

So the number one response is I should have figured this out on the test drive. I did and I bought it anyway. I wanted a Tacoma and I'm happy with it.
I guess it's not ok for me to criticize a certain feature of this truck. Sorry

They could all do better. They will claim they are giving us what we want but I don't know anyone who says a new truck's style is 'What he wanted'. Just what he had to choose from. Kinda like...…….hahaha. I ain't going to banned camp.

Lighten up. There's fuck-all we can really do about the hood other than adapt to it.
