Well looks like we'll have to get you some birthday drinks if you can manage to remember the meet next month!

Also on a side note, a few of have been talking about getting together for a mod day in the next couple of weekends maybe the 21st or 22nd? I'll have a new leaf pack to install and im sure a few others on here have some things on their list to take care of even maintenance wise, let's get somethin goin!

Was wondering if anyone would want to do a tire rim swap... Fj rims, 285/70/17 ko2s load range c. Have five total. Looking for 265/70/17, or 265/75/16... Just seeing...

I'll probably be out of town that weekend, hopefully testing out my new bumper.

Thanks again to you and TacoIII for helping to get it mounted.

Ya that’s right you'll probably have a better time doin that than fighting with a leaf pack haha. Anyway here’s a couple pics but disregard the bow tie

Hello From The Four Corners Area,

I'm new to the forum and was just told about this thread (@smw62891 - thank you Stephen)

I live up in the Farmington/Four Corners area and I'm a lifelong resident of New Mexico.

Looking forward to getting to know more of my fellow New Mexican Taco owners. (no pun intended)

I’d be down to help with the leaf pack install, never done one but I’d be happy to lend a hand and learn a thing or two

Welcome!! I think there's a few members up in the 4 corner area but I'd like to get up there and wheel a little but in Chokecherry Canyon been about 10 years since I was out there last.

For sure an extra set of hands are always helpful I just picked everything up a little while ago. I can't get anything installed this weekend but I'd like to get it done the following weekend the 21st/22nd. Although with the way things are going lately might have some time during the week to get it done :notsure:

before you install those dakars pick up a new set of isolators. Mine squeaked like a mofo despite greasing/cleaning etc. I’ll attach the link when I find it.

Damn, I should pay more attention to this thread. I’m still trying to dial in an alignment to clear my 35’s a bit better.

you can pry the leafs open and squeak them in there. Those stock yellow ones just sucked for me. Hopefully he will have better luck. At least it’s a cheap fix

Nice I might have to look in to those, considering I'm in an RC I might get away without as much squeaking but I guess time will tell!

Haha nah I just got antsy I was supposed to work this past Sunday but the event got canceled so figured might as well get them in. I think a few of us still have some work to do next weekend when I was originally supposed to get them installed.

Does anyone have a shop they recommend to install done new wheels? I have a set of SCS F5s coming in Thursday and there is a part of me that doesn't trust the people at Discount Tire.

Discount tire isnt horrible. I'm sure they do have some slackers but my past 2 experiences have been pretty good. They were also installing tires on my rattle can steelies so it wasnt a big deal for a scuff or two lol

I've never had an issue with Discount. I actually like them quite a bit (specifically the one on Menaul), but I have problems with Firestone, Big O, Midas, places like that. Just a heads up, I went there on Monday for a tire rotation, and they said starting Tuesday that they will only be doing "essential services" new tires & repairs.

I also like ABQ Tire a pretty solid place, and they might be willing to take care of the rims for you and honestly probably better to support local shops anyhow with the way things are going.
