My fiancée was rushed to the ER
this morning with a fever of 104.4. Her current symptoms are coughing, fatigue, high fever, and she’s struggling to breathe.

    She’s 25. . .

Within 3 days of showing signs of a cough we ended up here. A little info for those who think they have it... hospitals will not test you unless you are showing severe conditions. Even after showing severe conditions they test you for every other possibility to eliminate options. Once those all come back negative, you are then given the COVID19 test.

    However..
I can’t speak for areas like San Fran where they are doing drive through testing. Where I live..testing is scarce.

We are on lockdown and are now being quarantined.

please stay safe and much love.

She’ll pull through . Are you getting tested as well? There’s definitely panic here in SF but I’m really hoping the shut down will slow down the spread. I feel really bad for those working in retail, hospitality and other blue collar work.

    Did she test +?
Or are you still waiting for the results?

I hope she makes a full and quick recovery.
And while you are in quarantine, don’t isolate from TW.
We will be happy to entertain you in the mean time. Lol

Seriously, let us know how you 2 are doing and keep us updated.

Hoping for a quick recovery for you & your gal!!

The reason they are testing the way they are is that the actual test used to confirm COVID-19 are extremely limited & by ruling out other posibilities first conserves them.
The "drive through" are not actually testing at all, they are screening for symptoms. What action they take when they find someone who exhibits symptoms I'm not sure but I'd guess they'd suggest self quarantine.

If it is COVID-19, any idea how she may have been exposed?
