    I posted it mainly if someone was wanting to overland in the mall parking lot. Although with such a low tow capacity on our trucks I wonder if it would be an issue? Either way, I wouldn't want that bent and wedged in my receiver after a mild side pull.

    Tow rating has nothing to do with recovery gear. I personally wouldn't touch anything from HF for my own personal recovery gear setup. I know many have a woody for some of their winches, but I'd rather spend a little more money and buy the tried and tested stuff.

    Mine’s been used once to extract a stupid driver (me ) from a precarious situation by good samaritans with winches. That one time more than paid off the low original purchase price.
