    Hello TW,

I've been going back and forth for months on what MT setup to go with, and think its time to ask for some help. Current usage of the truck is the occasional off-road while camping/dirt bike riding. Truck is a daily driver, hints the MT set up instead of LT, but I drive aggressively in these SoCal streets and venture beyond the curb fairly often. Wheels are currently 265/75R15. Just looking for any advice or if someone is running the same set up feel free drop pics. I love seeing 1st gens set ups!

Currently looking at the below set up:

    - Camburg UCA's
    - King 2.5's front
    - King 2.5's 10" w/ Resi or smoothies? OEM kits offer resi but don't feel I need it...
    - Deaver J59 1.5" or Dakar 2.25"? Leaning more toward J59... are new shackles needed?
    - UBolt Flip kit
    - Leaning toward 292/74/16 (Methods x MickeyThompsonATZ)
    - Shock Relocation Kit (Not sure which one, maybe total chaos)
    - Bump stops (want hydraulic but lets see how much money I have left)
    - Do I need spindle gussets?

That looks like a nice parts list!

It is a PITA to fit 2.5's under the bed on first gens.
The best fit are usually 2.0 x 10" performance series from Fox, mounted to a tube under the bed.
We have helped people go 2.5's under the bed, but the shocks ended up angled in really far /\ which is not ideal.

The Deaver pack is night and day better than the Dakar packs

The spindle gusset is a good idea.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize I put 2.5 for the rear.
I will defiantly be going with 2.0, and the plan is to relocate outside of the frame.
Probably have to add some Spidertrax 1.5" spacers to avoid rubbing I assume.
From having FOX on my last truck I realized they were not for me. I'm only going with King's this time around.

What didn't you like about Fox?

The King 2.0 smoothies come with a 7/8" shaft which doesn't leave much room for oil.
The Fox 2.0's are available with a 5/8" shaft and have much more oil inside for damping and heat dissipation.
    Just something to consider.

Archive garage also makes an outboard mount that's worth checking out.

I had FOX about 6 years ago and the costumer service when I was asking questions about doing the rebuild on the shock was as if they just didn't care for simple questions.
I'm sure now times have changed and I'm just holding a old grudge but even after reading the tons of thread debates it looks like Tacoma drivers vote King as well. Still looking into both vendors though!

But..... is King having the 7/8" over the 5/8" shaft the reason they tend to "bottom out" before the bump stops hit when upgrading to new leafs? Or could that be solved by the shock relocation?

The Archive garage is a great kit that hit my radar but if my rims are 4.5 BS 0 offset, would that still work?

Fox has been short staffed in their customer service department in the past, which is why most people prefer to work with a dealer of theirs.
In your situation the 5/8" shaft in the rear 2.0 is a significant thing to consider.

The shaft diameter does not necessarily make the shock longer.
When you make a shock have more travel its compressed length must get longer to fit the shaft inside.
When you have a longer compressed length it is necessary to run the appropriate bump stop spacers (or setup air bumps to stop it).

Any recommendation on which FOX part # for the front?
