And one for the front if someone wants to break check you, about a month ago I had somebody squeeze in front of me and saw I was close to them because they only had big enough room for their vehicle they hit their brakes and nail them everytime I hit the brakes my nail them again and again and again

Bumpers takeout impact the guy hit 3 times had a 18in tow hitch sticking off the back of his figuring if you break check me it would go through my radiator hit my motor and f*** everything up he was surprised after the fact all he want to do is leave he didn't want to call the cops

Get meso stage 2 tails. Since I have had them in I have found people rarely even want to get within 10 feet of me. I was hit twice in my taco too but accident free for the past 1.5 years I have had them in. Sorry bout it man.

Front/rear dash cams for the win.

Yup, use the insurance money to install a steel bumper. Also, fight with the insurance company to pay for finished value that you're losing the truck's value.

    Working on it ...
I don’t think any rear end accident happens anymore frequently to a pick up truck then as to any other vehicle.

The real issue here is as previously observed by other posters “people suck at driving “. The problem is people do not get in their cars any longer for the primary reason of driving. They get in their cars to talk on the phone put on the radio, have a conversation and then driving is actually number three or four on that list of things to do!

As a follow up. Ended up going aftermarket Steel. Thank you all for the suggestion. Slow speed hit not so worried anymore. I cant see a car damaging my with 3/16 steel bumper. High speed hit, well truck would be gone anyhow.

I've been rear ended twice in a year due to a rubbernecker and someone staring at their phone. Got a steel high clearance bumper after the first one. 3rd time I barely got clipped on my swing arm, and the person drove off, but they had a shredded fender and I had nothing that spray paint couldn't touch up.

Have no idea why my truck is a shitty-driver magnet.
