I just upgraded my 2006 Prerunner with a 12 inch sub woofer. I looked around for specs and could not find any measurements for the box, so I thought I would post in hopes someone else would benefit.
I purchased an Infinity REF1200S sub and an Infinity Primus 3000A 300W mono amp from Crutchfield. Add a wiring kit and binding post, and the whole package ran me around 300.00 bucks.
I build a sub woofer box to go behind the passenger side rear seat. I removed the plastic interior piece from behind the seat and the back seat panel.
Box is built from 3/4" MDF
I used Gorilla Construction adhesive and 1 1/4" construction screws.
    Box Dimensions:
    27' W
    15" H
    D1 6"
    D2 4"
    Internal Cubic feet .77'
Box must be airtight so use plenty of glue. Clamp tight then use screws. Remember the glue is what hold the whole thing together.
Hint: I cut the side pieces first, then used that to set the angle on my table saw so the front edges of the top and bottom pieces would match up to the front for a good tight seal.
I covered the box with rubber mat used to line toolbox drawers (I had it lying around)

I mounted the amp under the Passenger seat in front of the heater vent.
It sounds pretty good. I listed to everything from jazz to rock. I have the amp gain set to 50% and if I turn it up in vibrates the rear view mirror. Most important is it sounds really clean.
The rest of the build includes:
Front: Infinity Reference 9630 CX 6X9 components
    Rear: Infinity Reference 6532EX 6 1/2 2 ways
Kenwood 50 watt per channel amp
    Kenwood DMX706S Headunit.
Off brand back up cam from Fry's

I play most music from my iphone, lightning cable connected using TIDAL lossless audio. I am a big TIDAL fan. Huge difference in sound quality from MP3. Especially on Master recordings.

Next on the list: Considering dynamat in the doors and behind the rear seat. Please let me know your comments if you have used any sound deadening materials. Stuff is pricey!

BTW: My Tacoma has 280K miles on it. Its all stock. I have done the recalls on the frame rust treatment, rear leaf springs, drive shaft U joints, airbag clock spring. I have added new rear shocks and new springs and struts in front. I replaced the front wheel bearings and all 4 O2 sensors. Other than maintenance that's been it. So I spent a couple car payments on new tunes.
    Good Luck fellow Tacoma Owners!
