    Right? I'm guessing its glued to the housing to simplify assembly. But you could certainly source some good closed cell foam and cut out your own.

    After finding out about this issue from TW. I immediately sealed the edges of the 3rd Brake Lamp with clear silicone to prevent this from happening.
