Hipoint 995 wrapped in a hightower bullpup stock. People laugh at it, but that cheap-ass gun will drive tacks at 50 yards.

Ive been looking at the kel-tecs for a while now. Though my next purchase will probably be a bullpup 12 gauge.

I managed to find a little known shop in my area and picked up 200 rounds ( what he let me have ). One shop had a 2 hour wait just to get in the store! This nuts...

Hate to derail it from the ammo discussion--hey maybe you could start your own thread?, but back OT...

Here is an interesting chart on auto sales after the last severe recession--sales went to about 50%, took about 5 years to rebound to former levels. (Yes it's a Tesla article but the chart refers to all auto sales.)

    https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/03/18/coronavirus-pandemic-perfect-storm-for-tesla.aspx

I think Toyota will be hit less than some because they're seen as reasonable, reliable transportation, not luxury vehicles. I think Tacomas will do better than most, much better than the overoptioned fullsizes that have dominated the market for years.

I don't know how everyone feels, but out of our 3 vehicles--Volvo S60, Mazda Miata and Tacoma--I know which one I would depend on when times get gnarly. It has a MT and 4WD.

Toyota has 54 days of inventory right now. 60 days is considered ideal.

Love my 995, kinda an AK in 9mm. I swear you could bury that thing, come back in a week, shake off the dirt and it'll shoot. Ugly ass thing, but when I go for a walk in the woods, that's what I usually grab.

When I bought my Tacoma I also peeked at an F-150 for giggles. Local dealership sells both. Salesman called me today and offered 0% financing on a new 150. "Trouble in Ford paradise is there?" I asked. "I don't know about that, but I can hear the crickets here in the showroom." Thanks, but no thanks.

Yea, I can see some creative bargaining going on. Pretty real estate agents will have to rent a warehouse.

I have a home based FFL for gun show sales. All gun shows are off but sales have been good. Sold 6 guns in the last two days, all long guns. Almost like when the Dems were in office.

Just tried to pick something up from Home Depot. They had stacks of lumber blocking all entrances like they are defending against the damn zombie apocalypse. Also no customers allowed in store after 6 pm apparently, as told by the cashier who ran up to my car and yelled at me to get out. Way to be calm and rational in a time of crisis, home depot. Online order cancelled.

Things around here are still pretty normal. Except for Food Lion, I think they can't afford to restock their shelves.

I did find some at a little known mom & pop shop in my town. They let me buy 200 rounds. YES!

I just bought 800 rounds of 9 mm at my local Cabela's about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, it is all full metal jacket for the range.

Beats a slingshot. I'd probably duck if 9mm FMJ was headed my way @ 1,000 FPS.

A FMJ will stop a bad guy quicker than throwing a roll of toilet paper at him. It will stop the threat and that is the main goal.
