When you wired the switch from anytimebackupcamera with BLUE and GRAY wires for illumination, what did you connect them to? Gray is ground, and Blue +12v? Did you splice them into existing illuminated switch?
Why do some ppl add a fuse? With my kit I didnt have to do it and it freaks me out because of lack of knowledge.
    Thanks for any help!

I just installed mine about 2 weeks ago, but it's been working fine. If you have a 2015 you just need to be sure that your HU is an Entune 2. Otherwise the RFCC version for your HU may be different. If you have a 2020 with Entune 3, there is no RFCC available for it yet.

Real quick, notice the disconnect for the camera is located at the same spot as the TSS sensor disconnect. This is important for when you pull off the Grille.
We ended up using the Car Solutions brain module for controlling the camera. The only extension that we needed was the power wire on the camera, bringing it to the back of the head unit, and putting on the the 12v connectors as supplied by CS. The video wire from the camera kit is long enough to reach the back of the head unit. We also needed to cut the tiny turquoise wire on the camera to flip the video feed.

I got excited for a minute then realised you have a 2019... Slightly jealous... car solutions doesn’t work for the 2020 :( how are you liking it? Please tell me it’s junk and go for the anytime backup system :)

Ya, my truck is a rare unicorn, 2019-1/2 long bed with everything, but the fuel pump recall and Toyota Connected Services :blahblah:

CS module is very hard to use because I have to press the mode button twice. And the camera doesn't stay on permanently. What's up with that! :rofl:J/K of course

Not exactly sure what you're "J/K" about...

Mode button twice + Up (or down) button for 30sec = Camera stays on.

Car Solutions/Natika Front Camera on Warn 100044 bumper

Very happy with the Car Solutions system, especially for the convenience of steering wheel control of the camera as opposed to separate switches.

The Warn bumper hoop obstruction makes the hanging camera install from the Pro grill described in this thread impossible.

I drilled the bumper on center and installed the Natika WD-011 camera there. The front bumper almost disappears and the winch hook provides a great distance perspective.

Do these work with aftermarket headunits? or are these specific to toyota's entune? Plan on changing out headunit in the future and dont want to do this if it wont be compatible with a headunit like alpine , etc.

    TIA

These are specific to Entune. And there are specific versions that work with specific Entune versions.

Not sure about 2nd Gens but IIRC there are a few guys that swapped to the Dasaita Android HU and said they were still able to use their CS camera.

Edit: I think it was in here

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...e-carplay-wireless-and-oem-audio-plus.620897/

but it could have been the Joying thread as well.

Did mine today and love it! Took me a couple hours as slow as I move.
Thanks to everybody on this thread that pioneered this mod... So glad I did this.

I spent days on mine. Between going round and round on where/how to mount the camera, and then actually getting everything hooked up. But worth it in the end.
Post some pictures of your mounting, and which camera you used, and the image on your display.

I used the Nakita IP69K camera from Amazon and mounted almost dead center in the pro grill just above the TSS. (No issues with that so far).
l'll try to get a couple decent pics tomorrow.
