Why do you guys keep taking down anything that talks about Coronavirus? It’s affecting everyone in a major way and we are all adults here so what’s the problem?

Because people act like children and get the threads shut down. Name calling, politics, etc.

Can comments not be deleted? I work at a hospital in Maine and it’s good to see what everyone else has going on. We need some of these posts

They can, but after a certain point I’m sure the mods get fed up. There are a million over avenues to discuss the virus and at the end of the day, this is a truck forum.

I can't speak for the mods, but I can say that I'm tired of seeing it everywhere we turn. There are plenty of places to get updates on COVID-19. Tacomaworld is a happy place and I'm glad that it isn't inundating me with Coronavirus talk.

What people don’t understand is that the Mods volunteer to oversee all of the TW Forum.

They maintain high standards and have drawn some lines in the sand about certain topics; politics and enforcing the BST rules among the high maintenance topics.

Members who appreciate this Forum mostly buy in to these standards and when they see an offending post, hit the report button.

Considering TW has over 250K members, even a minuscule fraction reporting an offending post can inundate the Mods with reports they have to clean up. At some point, they pull the plug.

It’s good to be an adult and respect the rules and acknowledge “Yes Virginia, you’re not so special that the rules don’t apply to you.”

All good points but the first one was just a bunch of dudes posting a short update about what they were doing it didn’t seem all that offensive but I guess ultimately it’s a truck forum I get that but it seems like a lot of people get a little more butthurt then Necessary

because of this in a nutshell.

every thread that has been made has delved into the deep, dark alleys of politics and conspiracy and misinformation and trolling.

We can't have a Coronavirus thread because we can't trust the membership at large to comment in a sensible, respectful, non political manner.
