2013 TRD Sport, tow package , never needed the trailer brakes till now (previously small trailer , no brakes), so got Tek.P3 and Tacoma specific pigtail to plug into said controller. Set everything up this afternoon ( what a job finding and accessing the plug) and I have no 12volt on the 12v input to the controller.

Checked my ground, check the hot side of the 30a brake fuse in the big fuse box; and thats as far as I got. no clue as to where that black 12v wire comes from.

I would really like to correct the situation but am thinking that running power rite from the battery thru a fuse and tapping into the input to the controller is the easiest; my assumption is that the 12v in to the controller is simply power for the control to do its thing; it is not the power for the brakes; wires to small.

    any help is really appreciated
