That makes sense. I will do a rotate. If no improvement when it goes in at 32000km for its oil change i will have them look at it.

You can check the bearing when you jack the truck for the rotate. Get the wheel off the ground a few inches, grab it at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position and wiggle top and bottom. You'll feel if its loose or getting loose. Also if you have a digital thermometer go for a ride for 10 minutes and when you pull into the driveway, shoot the center of all 4 wheels. The hotter one may be the culprit.

You would think if its a hub bearing it would do it all the time, and not just when 4wd is engaged. It has to be somewhere in the diff, that is the only part that is used with 4wd and not used in 2wd.

Goes to the left quicker as no road crown to work up

@5nahalf is correct, these trucks do not have hub locks so the bearings and axles are spinning at wheel speed at all times 2wd or 4wd. So bearings do not make sense. It would make more sense to be a differential issue because this is the component that comes into play when 4wd is engaged.

I actually don't think it's a bearing at all. I just told you how to check it. Lol. (good way to exit a convo..). If this has been going on since you bought it new? or how many miles did it have. Did you rotate the front tires side to side yet?

The real mystery here is why it only does in when he engages 4wd. Thats why im thinking there is a problem in the diff... thats the only part the is on with 4wd and off with 2wd, everything else is the same regardless of 4wd or 2wd.

I did not, but that’s because I’m not the person who posted this problem, it’s not my truck, I’m just a random person like you offering advice to the person who posted this... I think you quoted the wrong person in your reply :)

Have not rotated tires yet been busy help family and friend deal with the Corvid outbreak. Bought the truck with 16000 km. Now has 30000km. Night it with all the addons, this was a dealer demo. They add lift and wheel set. Had had this pull to the left from the first time I used the 4x4 on a highway during a snow storm.
I have only taken the truck down 1 easy trail 2 time to go into an area that we set up targets and shoot. It's a 2 track trail in decent shape about 1 mile off a good gravel road. I went over the truck pretty good. Has a TRD skid and it has not a scratch on it. I believe the finance manager when he said. He was the only driver bad he never took it out on any trails. Only gravel road was into a campsite off a main highway.
I will rotate tires this weekend and let you know the results.
