I bought this thing on the suggestion from some stranger. I wanted total corrosion resistance. He pushed me towards the serrated edge. I have had this fishing several times now. Mostly surf perch these days. (It requires very little gear)

man this thing is amazing. I haven’t sharpened it until today. I used my Spyderco Sharpmaker and it was easy. It is by far the best fish cleaning knife I’ve had. I’m not a filet guy. I gut and scale. It zips fish open to pour out the guts. If I want to remove the tail or head I just plunge the knife in and pivot the blade down with a snap and the parts come off. The fins I just lift with the tip and saw them off with no effort. (Very reminiscent of removing a chicken wing :)). The serrations pop off scales by scraping.

it’s been a good purchase. Five stars. No four stars - I wish it came in the yellow handle. I think it used to, but now black is the only option. The sheath is soiled. Handle is narrow, but your hand will not slip. BE8BCE5F-886A-4832-9D4D-726F74DE11E4.jpg B3EE9D98-BF35-4465-811D-F7B7CC01A569.jpg
