I cannot say enough good stuff about Crutchfield's Customer Service. I recently bought a JVC KD-A615 HU and XM reciever w/adaptor cable. It was a pretty simple install with the exception that you have to download from on line so it (XM adaptor) will match your radio. It worked great for a week or so then lost XM. I called them and they sent me a new XM reciever and cable. After doing the download (Windows XP only)... no luck, well they sent me a new HU, again no luck. I was convinced it was the Audiovox XM reciever after extensive troubleshooting. Shawn at Crutchfield suggested he send me another XM reciever already downloaded and tested. Got it and installed the new one and it works great!
Long story, just wanted to pass along a Kudo for them working with me. All shipping back and forth through UPS was free.

If you are going to do a DIY for your truck, buy from Crutchfield!

I would agree but they are expensive. Many other companies sell the same products for a lot cheaper. A lot cheaper

Now a days Customer Service is where it is at in my book. Try talking to someone off shore and get that kind of service. I'm just telling everyone about my experience, well worth it...

yeah those audiovox xm recievers are junk, i just had a similar situation on a taco i installed one in. They are so cheaply made for something that costs over 100 bucks

I looked all over for a XM direct box that isn't hanging out in the breeze. The Audiovox Customer Service guy (I think they are located in NY) was an A$$hole in my opinion. If I wasn't from New England I would have been offended...
That's why I am tooting Crutchfield, they hooked me up. Hope this one last's for a while. If it dies, I may just switch over to Sirus because there are other options.
