Wheel fitment

    I know that there are a million of these threads already but I need help and can’t find my specific situation anywhere. I’m sick of the base model rims and want to upgrade. Im wondering if my nitto crosstek2 245/75/16 will look okay on a 16x8 rim. There are no options for 16x7s. I recently bought these tires so I can’t just go out and buy another set. Nittos website said the tires could handle 6.5 to 8 inches wide rim. Obviously I would get a wider tire for my next set but would I be okay with the 245s on a 8 inch wide rim? Also, with the 1 inch wider rims and a offset of +10 (compared to stock +30) will I have any fitment issues? 2015 4x4 4cylinder stock height. Thanks for any help or advise!

    They will look car-like, with the sidewalls rounding. Even with spacers it won't be as aggressive. I understand 245s make the most sense with 4 bangers, but I would prefer to see a 255 or 265 on an 8 inch rim.

    This is the downfall of the 16" there's just less selection for tires and rims.

    I don't think it will be ugly, just not as aggressive.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
    I'd get a set of used TRD Pro wheels, they are 7 inches wide, have a bit of an aggressive offset and have a good weight - If your buying wheels.

    The purposed fitment works and you shouldn't have any rubbing :thumbsup:

    With regard to the rim width range, mounting a tire on the narrower end of the spectrum usually creates a "softer" ride where as mounting a tire on the higher end of the spectrum usually creates a more "responsive" ride. Mounting in the middle of the spectrum usually delivers balance of both comfort and responsiveness. This is due to how the sidewall stretches, if you will, based on the rim width.

    For reference, the 16x8 ET+10 is going to sit 1-1/4" further out when compared to where the factory wheels sit now. If you were to take a tape measure and measure 1-1/4" outwards from the front lip of the factory wheel, this will be the point where the front lip of the 16x8 ET+10 is going to sit.
