Probably the same things everyone else dislikes.... under powered engine, no auto folding mirrors... and.... that's about it

dang, quoted post from nearly 11 years ago. Impressive
At least they changed it to leather(vinyl?) on some later 2nd gen's and rubberized all the 3rd gens(that I'm aware of)

    It's the rust issues.
Around our windows we have rust that's coming from the inside out, and imo it's definitely the paint. The super white Corollas from the same year got a paint recall, wtf am I supposed to do about this? :annoyed:

Missouri salts the ever loving crap out of the roads, we had a light dusting of snow, and driving around today everyone was leaving a cloud of crushed salt behind them, so I have to take care of this with some sort of urgency. Bah.

    1. Questionable Frame quality
    2. Flimsy rear doors that don't stay open
    3. No low washer fluid light (what's up with that??)
    4. No tailgate lock
    5. No bed lights
    6. Cheap climate control knobs

Those are my main gripes. All-in-all it's a pretty solid truck. You just wonder how none of the testers/engineers ever noticed any of these things...

My #1 complaint from the day I drove my 2008 Tacoma off the lot was the soft brake pedal. It works just fine, but feels like I'm stepping on a mushroom. I've bled and flushed the brake system multiple time over the years, but the brake feel has never changed.

Love the truck with 2 exceptions: tram lining on rutted roads / wandering steering and no telescopic steering wheel adjustment.

New 2020 Limited, the power heated seats are terribly uncomfortable. I still have my 2005 SR5 4WD (not yet sold) and they are still 150% better and they have 350K on them. Luv the rest of the truck

This, coming from my 2019, I was like WTF why is this new power seat so uncomfortable, can't get it to be comfortable / similar to my 19.

And chasing rust. Why!!! My dad's F150 has less rust and he doesnt do sh*t to it, 3 midwest winters under it already.

They're weird, like really hard in the lumbar area, have tried messing with it non stop and can't get it right.

Funny, other than the frame that was changed in 2018, no rust on her at all. The 2020 seats have less padding and very stiff, going to make a foam wedge for under the butt, my PT person came up with the idea. I may just open up the seats and make new springs, made replacements when a heavy Toyota tech brow them in the 2005 over the fall. Lots of salt on the roads here in Maine so very happy how the 2005 held up, pics below. IMG_5114.jpg25768164-95C3-47C5-BF80-E541AD25FCC6.jpgIMG_5891.jpg

I hate all the damn nannies. Let me drive the truck sometimes I got a better idea of what's going on I don't need you creeking and beebing and flashing and grinding, after all I'm the one with the eyeballs, some wheel slip isn't always a bad thing.

Makes me miss my "dumb" '00.
