Hey guys, I'm pretty much a novice it when it comes to hand guns so I'm hoping those with experience can help me decide if this is a deal I should jump on.

My buddy is selling his Glock 27 that he uses for work as a police officer, and I know it has been taken care of. Here's the details:

    - Asking $475
    - Glock 27
    - night sights
    - 3 magazines with extenders
    - 2 holsters: one ankle and one belt
    - hard case
    - about 200 rounds put through the gun

    What do you guys think?

    A thing or two...
Sounds like a pretty good deal. However, find out how old the night sights are. They get dimmer as they age. Typical life span is around 5 years. A new set of sights runs $50-100 plus installation if you don't have the tools to do it yourself.

Sounds like a great deal to me considering the newness of the gun and night sites are usually ~$100 iirc.

How old is it? Which generation? If it has grooves cut in the grip, it's up to a few years old. If the grip is smooth, it's older than that. Unless it's new, I think it's a little high. That would sell for $425 tops here with the extras.

Thanks for the input guys. I just looked at it tonight and if I remember correctly, I think it had grooves in the handle. He has had it for 4 years.

He originally wanted 400 for it but someone at work offered him 475, so I'm just going to tell him if he can get 475 for it to take it, otherwise I'd still be interested for 400.

no kidding. i have a sig. the pistol was my bro's first service piece. maybe 15 years ago. what is that radioactive material in the sight? tritium!! or something. that stuff last a long long time. mine is super bright still.

i think you measure the diminishing glow in "half-lifes". they will love you long time.

they never made a G27 without finger grooves, looks like a good deal to me, and the N/S's will last 10+ years and the tools required are a punch/hammer for the rear and a 3/16 nut driver for the front

LE/Military discount for a new Glock is $425 as stated, but that is with stardard sites and 3 magazines. The night sites are not cheap that he added and extra factory mags from glock are about $30. Even if you offer him $425 +/- some you are still coming out with a good deal. Besides....its a Glock, every self respecting dude with a man card needs at least one Glock.
