I like eagle rare quite a bit, but sometimes it goes down a little too easy

    Quarantine Day.... something...

hat tip to @bvbull200 for the help!

Decided to make a label for my Infinity Bottle. Printed on Label Paper (all I have right now). Will have to order glossy for the final though. Thinking about shrinking the label and putting the list under it vice the bottom. I could see some "what's in this again" moments leading to a mess

    What say y'all?

    Love it.

Put the ingredients list on the back like the info labels often are on bottles.

Only took off the back label for this but may clean it all and put a more legible list on back.

    I made it today

No sample yet. Been mixing it a lot though. Possibly tonight...:fingerscrossed:

    No cradle for this one.

I'm making bee food again, which happens to be the exact same thing as simple syrup. So I stole a splash from them for my own purposes...

I agree. I think a 100 proof version is is in order. Already 10 year old age statement.
We need 100 proof, 10 yr, and add in a Single Barrel. All for less than $40

    OK... Here we go...

First off, I am TERRIBLE at picking out flavors and nuances. I'll do my best to describe though.

I shook and turned and tossed this bottle numerous times over the past 24 ish hours

Color: Just an awesome caramel bourbon color. The thick bottle gives it a red hue, but the glass let's it shine.
Nose: Very mild and not what I was expecting. I thought there would be just an onslaught of scents and some level of heat. "Inviting" is how I would describe it. All I can think of is Ron Burgundy "Drink it in" .Not warm spices but mellow hints of sweetness. I think it is definitely a case of too much going on and only a few flavors remain, but it is pleasant and does not burn at all. No burny scent @Kanyon71 You can take deep breaths of this with ease.
Taste: Fairly viscous. Good mouth feel. First it hits with some sweetness, vanilla/caramel (something sweet and light anyway). That gets taken over by a darker oaky/leather/tobacco profile, but not a strong one. No where near Balmorhea, actually tolerable to me. then there is the burny. It's stronger than the nose lets on for sure. wasn't expecting it. It's got enough to tell you it's over 100 proof but not like some of my Barrel Strength options.
After: The darker flavors linger a little and the burn stays in the mouth and lips. No throat burn.

Final Verdict... I'm sure the flavors will change but if not... I am a happy drinker and feel fully vindicated in this endeavor. It's interesting enough to want to keep pouring more. Curious where it will end up.
