I had the same mindset as UT Runner about keeping tires inside the fenders. I considered the 255/85 r16 size, but was concerned about being "too Skinny". I ended up getting the Cooper Evolution MT in 285/75 r16. They seemed to be a good compromise for those on the fence between the sizes. They aren't quite as wide as some other brands 285's and they have a moderate weight for a load rand E tire and the best part is the price. I ended up finding them 145.00 each shipped 2 day FEDEX. The spec's are aprox 32.85" tall, Section width of 11.3", and 56lbs.

Or some do it for the better performance in their specific conditions. *shrug*

I purchased 255/85R16 Cooper ST MAXX for summer, and stock size Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3s for winter. Considering something more aggressive for winter though so I don't sacrifice traction in deep snow on wheeling trips. Maybe studded Duratracs, studded General Grabber A/TX or I'll just pick up another set of Nokians and do Hakka LT3s - either way going to go with 235/85R16s for the next winter set I have to buy. Undecided as of yet but I either need studded ATs or dedicated winter tires for the ice I see every winter.

Hey all, new owner of a 2020 DCSB off road and like the 32" skinny LT255/75R17 KO2's. I would like to know if anyone is using this with a stock suspension setup. If you are what wheel width and offset are you using to avoid any possible rubbing issues. I'm trying to decide on a tire for my wheels that are on order. They are 17" x 8.0" with an +15 offset. Plan on staying with the stock suspension and will be using a C load LT tire.

I have crossed off P & ISO metric (SL & XL) tires, D E load heavy weights and lifted 285's and larger. May have to revert to the LT265/70R17 size.

The 265/70 17's and 255/75 17's are so close in size, you should have zero issues with rubbing with either of them. They are both a 32" and ok even for fully stock tacomas.

The BFG KO2 is the only A/T tire I would consider buying in the LT255/75R17 size. I am tempted to buy the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac (on sale 25% off) but they are SL (4 ply) and the KO2 is a C (6 ply).

These are virtually identical to the 235/85/16's I run and I have zero issues on a stock suspension. I may lift the front an inch for a bumper and winch, but it's not because I need to. You won't have any problems.

%25 off I'd give it a shot if you can swing the discount in load C (if you do anything remote or not so maintained roads)

Looks like you got a small rake out of it too.

Feel better? I think it’s trivial at this point. Once they are on the vehicle you will lose .5”-1” as far as height (from compression). Hope they are everything what you wanted

I just bought some 255/75/17 Hankook and they measure 32.1” :notsure:

It was fairly trivial the first time it was discussed too. You were actually debating with someone else before. But since you were so adamant that the listed specs were wrong I was just offering the real world measurement.
Also since Hankook lists theirs as 32” I would expect they measure close to that hight.

What size tire is being measured? 31.7 I'm guessing
