Fox 2.0 vs. Bilstein 6112/5160 lift kit

Hi guys,

I’d like to spend <$1500 on a lift kit that achieves approximately 3 inches of lift primarily for looks, but also for those wicked mall speed bumps (I kid). But really, I’ll be going on novice off-road trails near Virginia, nothing too heavy.

which would you buy?

Looks like you posted the same link twice. but im wondering the same thing

 

I have 6112 /5160 on my 17. You will only get 2” of lift if you set the clips at 5/6. and look at Headstrong Offroad, they are very helpful and have good prices. plus free shipping

 

Plan on lifting the rear as well?

 

Highly recommend staying at a 2” lift. Once you go to 3” it will add more parts and more money.

 

You’re going to need leaf springs as well

Those are 2 kits I’m looking at as well. If what I’m remembering from my research is right, the 16+ is 1” higher than previous models so a 2” lift is the equivalent of a 3” since the suspension is about the same (I think). I’m leaning more towards the 6112/5160 with a rear aal, but have no real lesson why. I’ve also read people recommend sharkhide on those if you in an area that’s heavily browned/salted in winter.
