I am looking at an 09 DC 4x4 122k miles with a freshly rebuilt TRD super Charger and wondering about how easy it'll be to take it off and swap to a regular intake system. The truck is on the border of my budget and I'd rather swap out the supercharger and get financially ready for my child who is on the way. I drive like a G-pa anyways. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. My hope is to find someone who wants it and will swap their factory manifold and all and buy the supercharger. Wishful thinking?

Do you NEED the truck? With a child on the way, I’d reconsider.

Yes, wishful thinking. From the question I inferred you will need to pay-find someone to do the de-install/re-install. Good luck.

It's more work than it's probably worth. You'd have to change over ECU's as well since it has the supercharger tune. As the others said, probably best to focus on the kid and find a truck without the supercharger

With the hopes of having a little one, my wife and I decided to move up to a newer 2nd gen from my 1st gen. If you were closer, I would gladly help you remove and properly dispose of that 'charger!

Thanks for the concern. I have lots of time
Before the baby is born and I do need the truck. We have another 4 door vehicle for everything child but need a 4wd that my wife can drive. Figured there would be someone here who’d be willing to help and knew how to do the swap

To refine this a bit more accurately, this is untrue about the ECU. As long as the injectors, that came with the S/C, stay on the engine then the ECU can be left alone.

The spacer behind the thermostat housing will have to be removed. To go with the S/C to whomever purchases it.

The supercharger would definitely be desirable to someone looking to add it to their truck, and if I was going to sell the supercharger, I'd probably want to sell it complete (including the injectors), which would mean you'd need to get a set of stock injectors and a stock ECU. Shouldn't be too hard to find used for those pieces and then you can get a few gaskets and a belt and pull pretty much everything out to sell.

That said, it's definitely easier to just buy a non-supercharged truck for sure. Or no truck at all if finances aren't on your side at the moment.

Is it a possible venture? Yes.

Is it a stupid venture? Yes.

Is there a really good chance you will forget to remove something, screwing the guy who bought it from you on the sale by subsequently slowing down his install time considerably? Also yes.
