During the last gun panic there were weekly blood puddles on the firing line at the public range. New reloaders who couldn't buy factory ammo were blowing themselves up left and right. Thankfully I don't have to go to public ranges anymore because that nonsense is going to start back up again.

I don't have a 19.5 MOS, but I do have a 19M. The only difference between the 19.5 and the M appears to be a couple DLC coated parts. I love gen4 Glocks and wanted to hate the M. I ha e carried a gen4 for about 10 years. I like the finger grooves but don't miss them on the M. I thought the cutout in the front strap would rub my pinky raw because it has kind of sharp edges, but it doesn't. My only real criticism is that the barrel is showing wear from the slide pretty quickly.

I recently sold off all of my other defensive caliber pistols, including 2 Walthers and a SW1911 because I just could not shoot them as quickly or accurately out of the holster. I really loved that PPQ, too.

I think it's true for any weapon system, but moreso with Glocks, that when you get really, really proficient with them you skill does not translate 100% to another system, and spending time with other systems can be counter productive.

Anyway, my 19M has been great.

Got my SIRT AR bolt sighted in and did some drills with the LASR software, time to order a SIRT pistol.

Does it work pretty well? You like it? What hardware are you using on the software end?

Yeah, it works 97% I would say, the only problem I've had with it is not always registering the second shot on double taps, I think it's a software thing because I have splits at ~.38 and it usually registers them but not always. I'm still working my way through the system, the software is the LASRX system and I just did my social media post to get free access to the "plate rack" feature, we'll see how that is once they review it and give me access.
I'm using their recommended webcam ($22) (Bought through Amazon because their markup is stupid) and my laptop (Lenovo with a Ryzen 5 3500U, 10 GB of RAM) and one of these days I'm going to try it with my iPhone 8+ and Ipad Mini, I just wish it was app based on IOS and not browser based.

One thing to note, the Larue MBT trigger in my SBR is not compatible with the SIRT bolt linkage (The disconnector sits higher so when the upper is closed it actuates the laser).

This is how I have it set up, laptop and camera are on a table in the living room, wall is about 12' away from the table and the targets are printed on printer paper.

Glad to hear you're alright. If you're in the market for a safe check out Sturdy Safe from California. They are so well made, I bought one and paid the freight to Canada!

Would also recommend Hollon. I had a 24 gun Canon and part of the locking mechanism broke one night so I had to call a locksmith at 1130. I asked him what his favorite brand was, and he said Hollon because he has sold a ton of them and never had a single service call or complaint about them. I sold a lot of my guns and got a 10 gun Hollon, which has been awesome. It cost as much as the 24 gun Canon though. I open it at least twice a day for 2 years now and no signs of excess play.

You've got to be dedicated to dry fire already, before hopping on this train to be sure it'll be worth it. It strikes me as a tool for competitors more than anybody. Lord knows I might buy one for that reason, I've got some work to do before I get fast and accurate.

I will, I need one for about a half dozen long guns and a couple handguns.

I went with the Sturdy Safe 24"x19"x60" tall. It was only $700 US at the time, and they had a sale offering thicker steel, it was a great deal/purchase. Some moveable shelves and a rack for the long guns. I have 12 rifles/long guns in there, down to only two handguns but easily had 5 on the shelf at one point, I keep my Kowa spotting scope in there as well, and my bino's. In Canada, our laws dictate ammo must be stored separately and securely, so I have another cabinet to hold ammo, powder, mags, holsters, etc. with a simple bar/combo lock on it.

    Pretty cool.

What would be awesome would be a training video you can cast onto the big wall screen with scenarios and shoot/no shoot, with a time code in a corner for the software to OCR and recognize to sync hit boxes.

Are you sure the laser actuates twice on double taps?

There’s actually a much more expensive option that has simulated ranges/threat scenarios/etc. called Smokeless Range that I almost bought, it requires a large screen or projector and isn’t as quick and easy to setup/be portable. If I was older/more established the smokeless range would be the easy choice but as young as I am and having plans to move/travel this seemed to be the better option.

Yep, I can see the laser dot actuate twice about 2” under my red dot on double taps, I’m starting to wonder if it’s a combination of how long the trigger is held and split times that causes a no-read.

I'm sure you've seen this, so it's mainly for the others in the thread here.

MAIN POINT OF SELLING BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN PISTOL IS EXTREME PRICE OF WEAPON AND CARTRIDGE. BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN IS WEAPON OF MAN WHO WEARS EXPENSIVE ITALIAN FASCIST SUIT OF HAND SEWING, DRIVE HUGE EXPENSIVE NAZI MERCEDES OF A.M.G. SHOP, SAIL ON MASSIVE YACHT TO GREEK ISLANDS. I THINK YOU GET PICTURE. BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN IS WEAPON THAT SAYS IS NO SUCH THING AS CONCERN OF MONEY. FOR MAN WITHOUT EXPENSIVE SUIT, BIG BLACK MERCEDES, AND MASSIVE YACHT, BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN IS FOR PRETENDING OF BE RICH LIKE BLACK GANGSTER OF AMERICAN CITY WITH GOLD CHAINS OF LOW QUALITY AND JEWELS OF COLORED GLASS. WHEN YOU EXPLAIN USE OF BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN PISTOL IS ONLY FOR SHOOT MAN WITH BULLET VEST WITH CARTRIDGE ILLEGAL TO CIVILIAN, THIS MAN HAS NUCLEAR RAGE. WHOLE IDENTITY OF THIS MAN IS SPENT IN PRETEND PISTOL SHOWS HE IS RICH. IS VERY AMUSE. FOR REST OF WORLD THERE IS 9 MILLIMETERS OF LUGER WHICH IS SAME WOUND FOR COST LESS.

$500 for the software, the "recommended" projector is about $3K and then another $600 for SIRT pistol, spare mags, and SIRT AR bolt, it adds up pretty quick. I wanted to try the tablecloth over the TV like they mention in the manual, but to run smokeless range I'd have to either run it on the office TV (less than optimal distance and not much room) or move my desktop to the living room.
