Depending on who made it, you're more at risk for diabeetus than kidney stones drinking iced tea. My "southern kin" start with suspending the sugar in solution before they start brewing the tea. Basically, it's tea-flavored sugar water.

 

I had a scan couple of months ago and was told I had the potential to give birth to a bunch of kidney stones. First thing they told me was to drink more water, at least 8 8 oz. glasses a day. Haven't hit that much everyday but come close or try to. I cut a slice of lime and slice of lemon and put them in a glass at the beginning of the day. And go through a lot of ice. Downside is now I have to get up in the middle of the night and piss, used to make it through the night without waking up.

 

Took me a few years after I came to Mn. from NC to stop asking for sweet tea when I went out to eat. Don't find much sweet tea in the North. Used to go through a lot of sugar making tea back in NC, mainly sun tea. Was more like syrup than tea from the sugar.

 

I'm with ya after my kidney stone I was told to drink more water and I did but like you said pee a lot during the night some nights I think I'll just sleep in the tub

My Doc told me to tank up as well after giving birth to one.

Pee should be as clear as possible.

 

Do what your Dr tells you. I had a large kidney stone years ago and it was the worse pain I have ever felt. Had it sonic blasted apart because it was too big to pass.

I used to frequently work outside in our hot summers and didn't drink enough fluids. I no longer do that.

 

We have had discussions about stones in the past. I have had a couple, one took a week to pass.

Welp, the Governor shut Michigan down effective 12:01 Tuesday AM. Non-essential stay at home until April 13. This will be interesting to say the least. I did get great news from the company, they are paying everyone, on their dime.

 

Well, I just did a dope deal with a friend from work.
I couldn’t find lasagna or frozen peas and he couldn’t find toilet paper.
So we bartered and we are both good now.
For full transparency, we stocked up before Mardi Gras as my daughter was bringing in a bunch of girls from collage for their first Mardi Gras. They didn’t use as much as anticipated, so we are good on that front.

Strange times we are in, for sure...
