Air Horn Installation - Wolo 140 SeaAlert 12v

I got a great deal on this horn and want to install it in my truck. I'm thinking I can just grab the wires from the stock horn, run them through this relay and be good, right? Instruction link below.

Depending on how much draw the air horn takes you should have the correct gauge wire from + on battery but I dont see why you cant use the stock feed to trigger the relay. Fuses inline too, of course.

 

You might want to test it out before you permanently install it. I tried a similar one and since there is no air storage tank it takes a beat for the little soda can compressor to spin enough air up for it to honk. Not a big lag but I found it annoying, and it wasn't all that loud.

Yes, you can use the original horn wires as the trigger, then run the larger gauge wires through the relay for power and use a fuse close to the battery.
