How’s the mess? Might have to try with breakfast in the morning.

We have the closed black plastic one. It’s not bad at all. All the grease ends up underneath the tray.

And you can save (and filter) that bacon grease for other experiments!

The filter isn't required but it does remove any bits of bacon.

Make sure to clean out the grease when it's still warm.. don't let it cool off and solidify.

Also if you go back a few pages I've done pork chops with great results!

I'll have to try this with my soggy onion rings. Never have been able to get them even remotely crispy.

Need to get a thermometer because they were a little over done, but flavor was awesome.

did some burgers on the grill, pretty standard fare with salt pepper garlic and some shredded Swiss
Once again the air fryer came thru with killer fries :)
I sliced some potatoes up rinsed em off then tossed with olive oil salt pepper onion powder and some legit Hungarian paprika
400* til crispy, it was like 16 min this time

Good deal. I realize from your quote I said State Farm, lol that's an insurance company. It's State Fair. They are 100% beef, far better than the chicken'pork'beef ones. Corn dog in 1 hand, bottle of spicy brown mustard in the other.
Edit: I've started lightly spraying frozen breaded food with Olive Oil before cooking.

When I make bacon in the air fryer... I save the bacon grease.. and a little bit of bacon grease warmed up to liquid form sprays pretty nicely too!! Healthy? Absolutely no way.. Delicious? HELL YEAH!!

    did some coconut shrimp :)

We butterfly tail-on shrimp then roll in flour then egg wash then dredge in a mix of panko and coconut flakes.
Spray with oil then 375 til crispy, at some point flip them for even browning.

We serve them with sweet chili sauce.

Not as decadent as the same recipe deep fried lol but still was pretty great

Now that we’ve used it once I can’t wait to get to the store again to try different things.

I didn’t even notice that....pretty funny though. You know I have no idea what kind we used. My wife is being very cautious with stuff we bring into the house so she took them out of the box and left them in just the bag.

I’ll definitely be trying this! I love shrimp.

Chikken wings... raw, season or marinate, cook. AF does better than deep fryer, imo.

Been using ours a little more lately and loving it more and more as we learn how to utilize it. Did some chicken strips last week that although crispy, came out a little dry. Same recipe for the batter today with fried zucchini, just adding more spray oil and they came out perfect. When and how much, how to, use oil is keep with these things I’m finding out.

Also reheating pizza has never been better. Actually not afraid of reheating leftovers because they’ll be soggy now. Definitely a huge learning curve to make good come out good, but when it’s right it comes out delicious and a little healthier than the deep fried alternative

I go 12 and they're PERFECT! I sprinkle some of my homemade Ranch seasoning on them!
