    I`ve read that a lot of you are installing Fumoto valves. My question is how tight (torque?) do you use when you install them. Don`t want to do the tighten until it strips then back off a quarter turn.

    I can't recall if there is a torque spec. I tightened it by hand and just used a socket to snug it down, just like the bolt it is replacing. Love it. Oil changes were easy enough, with the valve, its even easier!!

    sorry to hear that. I have to modify one of my bed stiffeners since I got the HiLift Extreme 60 inches. I have a DBC=short bed. Hopefully, you will find a solution...

    If the fumoto valve doesn't come with a torque spec number I would use the same torque spec as the drain plug. I think Haynes has it at 32 ft-lbs. Searching TW, most responses say 30 ft-lbs so somewhere in that range will work.
