I have a 2019 Tacoma I purchased in Sept 2019. My two daughters purchased Toyota vans. Both daughters had "Apple Play" installed on their vans free by the dealer. Anybody know if Toyota does this for free if not how much does it cost? Thanks in advance.

not possible on 2019 without an aftermarket solution. 2020 tacos have it now.

I called my local dealer last week, service manager said they could update my 19 for CarPlay. I was wary but a little excited if they could actually do it since he sounded so confident. Brought the truck in and sure enough not possible. So like Kahl said aftermarket. Personally I’m going with a Pioneer w4500-nex and idatalink maestro for the wireless CarPlay and to kind of future proof myself for a bit.

The sienna 18/19 rav4 and camry all came with entune 3.0 but some were sold before the apple carplay rights were settled, so there was a massive update that was available to change them to add carplay.

The 19 tacoma doesn't have entune 3.0 so it can't have it with any update.

2020 Tacoma: Morimoto xB LED Headlights & fogs, MESO Total Tail S1, Fortin Evo One Remote Start, OEM Audio Plus System 500Q,, Redarc trailer brake controller, Carplay2Air wireless adapter, Custom shift knob, Electric tailgate lock, Chrome tailgate inserts, Limited fog light bezels, 2018 TRDOR Grill, Chrome door handle covers
The wiring harness are different on the 2020. I had to get an adapter for my OEM Audio Plus system.
