That's a horrible idea. What time?
Put the new MT gear knob on. I really like this. Nice size and feel while working the gears. May become my new hand rest! Now to figure out the boot covering the internals below. I think I want it out but I don't want to see the mess below.

I haven't posted here in a while and have done a lot since the last time, but yesterday I installed the 12-volt Solutions remote start module with the smart phone module. I always wanted one and I bit the bullet and did it.

Not something I have done yet, but looking for suggestions for the best phone mount for a 2020 taco? One I don’t have to drill to mount

If you don't mount any RAM mounts, then what's the purpose of installing the DMM? And if you do install RAM mounts and place all your "stuff" up there, it seems IMO that you would restrict some of your vision as well as add a distraction while driving. Seems like a senseless mod to me. But... as noted before, just my opinion and it's your vehicle. (I can see the hell coming for this post already)

I have the hondo "unholey" mount, its great but when I put it on the vents near the steering wheel My hand bumps it and knock if off. I got it because I could mount my CB to it, but have since removed the mount and just keep the CB in the cubby in front of the shifter.

I think the DDM is going to be my next purchase for a phone mount as I can put the phone in more locations and I can mount more than 1 thing

I'm using this one. It's PERFECT. Puts my phone in the right spot without blocking anything else.

I'll take a pic and show where it's mounted later if you want so you can see how it sits.

I think you answered your own question. Same concept as you don't always need to have your maxtrax on your truck (tho for some reason some people leave them there), I don't always need a tablet mounted in front of me unless I'm actually on the trail or heading towards one.

    @ mwaterous

Reasonable answer. I think a good share of the people however, put their equipment on the DMM and leave it there. That was my thinking.
Second opinions are always eye opening. Thanks.

Same people who get groceries with a full compliment of rotopax. You can't help them, no one can help them. You just gotta let em do their thing.
