So... what’s the benefit of hiding a winch?

Not everyone wants a giant bumper that weighs a lot in front of their truck.

@Crosis also reduces risk of theft.

OP, looks good. Nice choice and clean install. I'm curious to know your thoughts on the winch after you use it a couple of times. Seems reviews on that one are polar opposite. Some say it is bulletproof while others say it is cheap chinese junk. most of the reviews though start out with "I haven't used it yet, but...."

I'd like some real world feedback. Bonus points for it being on a Tacoma.

I have the winch for when going hunting and being out in the middle of nowhere and possibly getting stuck.
My son has been using his more, I just have used it moving boulders, stumps etc. around the house and no issues. My son will go off road and actually pulled his buddies out with it and he has had his for years now with no issues.

My sons when he first built it, same set up, he also has a 1" body lift.

    Thanks guys!

Not a Tacoma but I just picked up another project, thinking 8" lift... gears... lockers... 35's... winch... off-road rig!

Looks quite handy. James Bond license plate frame is cool.
Wish I had $1000 laying around.

Will this fit a 2005 Tacoma? Any suggestions on a hidden winch mount for a 2005...

Rancho Hidden winch & tow hooks. ARB on board air
Hi guys, first post. Just bought a 2015. I'm in this thread first because it looks like mine came with the exact same modification.
I'm wondering if the original owner is still a member or anyone recognizes it. Had 84k miles on it. North Carolina owned. Used car dealer got it from a Nissan dealer.
Even has an ARB onboard air so wondering the truck's history.
The Carolina Hurricane's bumper would seem like a dead giveaway as to who owned it.
