I'm a real estate appraiser and have a 28yr old autistic son who is almost 6ft tall and goes everywhere with me. I can't put him in the front seat for fear he could grab the wheel or the gearshift. I don't think he ever would but wouldn't wanna take the chance. So to make room for him in the back, I shove the passenger seat up against the dash. So If my wife, my son and I all go somewhere, the Tacoma is just too tight. She has a '19 Wrangler 4dr so we take that. Pretty sad that it has more room in the back seat than my Tacoma. So no need for the 4runner. Thanks for the response!

I've found an '18 SR5 4x4 CrewMax at a local dealer. It has 19k miles. My Tacoma has 14k. He will trade me for $2000 OTD. That is not bad, imo. Tundra has SR5 Upgrade Pkg, all weather floor liners and exhaust tip. It's also Toyota Certified. Thanks for all the great reponses, folks.

As a Browns fan I tell myself that every fall lol.

Seriously though, for 2 G, it seems like a no brainer to switch.

Tundra is a dinosaur, I don’t care about cause I know it’s coming “ but wuh wuh reliability, wuh wuh resale... it’s a dinosaur and not even like a cool dinosaur. That back window that slides down is cool though

It's design has been around a while, for sure. Toyota has the 'if it ain't broke...' mentality regarding the Tundra. It did get a refresh in '18. And yep...resale and reliability are off the charts!

It’s a nice truck which pretty much like all Toyota products has evolved about as fast as a Toyota fan would expect (or put up with).

I regularly haul my colleagues around... from airport, to dinner, etc. It is zero problem to carry three full grown men in back seat without any crowding and plenty of legroom. Good luck and one more pic...

I drive a lot and use it as a truck so only mod is Method 304 wheels. Stock tire size and everything else.

Tacoma for fuel mileage around town, and tighter off roading. Tundra for power, towing, room, comfort, and payload

I still have my 2nd gen Tacoma for working in the woods. They each have their place

Full size vs. mid-size just comes down to what you need more. Everyday driving, Tacoma wins hands down, just too easy to drive. Full size comfort and hauling stuff, can’t beat full size but everyday driving does get to you after a while. If you’re going to make a jump though, do yourself a favor and go view all of the brands. When it comes to mid-size pickups, Toyota can’t be beat but when you’re talking full size, Toyota might not be the best choice.

Tundra reliability. Check. Tundra roominess. Check. Butter smooth V8 and automatic. Check.

Tundra fuel mileage. Dismal. 2007 Tundra platform. Old as the hills.

I've got both. I use my '19 Taco for my ranch truck and love it. Goes everywhere I need to go, easy to park if I need to run into town and maneuver. My 2008 Tundra, my family ride took my wife, myself and 3 daughters and gear all over the western United States in comfort and style. Although definitely not efficiently as the tales about the lack of fuel economy are all too true. But I knew that going in.
So now that the kids are grown, I could probably do full time Taco, but no way I could've pulled that off with the whole family and gear.

I had an '09 taco ACMT w/TRD Supercharger. Just not quite enough room inside with girl, dog, stuff. Got a 2013 Tundra. Great for towing boat, but in 2015 I bought a RC-350 as well because the truck was too damn big for just driving around. Ended up trading the Tundra in on a 2018 TRD Pro (still have Lexus, lol). The Taco is a bit small for towing my boat (MC NXT20), but it's only about 2 miles to the ramp, and I am under the limit.
