It's all done through the BIOS. My ThinkPad has decent security, I can disable other things like the USB ports and other hardware. But if I do decide to use the cam, it means shutdown, re-enable and reboot. Certainly not convenient, but I don't plan on using it.

My mother got one of those about 3-4 weeks ago, she has to be at dialysis 3x a week no matter what. General range is 2-6 weeks without it before she would die.

    What is the company ride?

My work installed software about 7 years ago that not only tracks every application and site I use, it marks ones as essential for my job. Those that aren't are considered non-work and get counted against my weekly percentages. My unit had a lot of freedom for a long time not being phone based, but like anything else a handful of people abused it going for smoke breaks every hour or just fucking off and now we all get micromanaged to death. They've started really breaking balls about email and IM use too, even though my production is over 100%..though I suspect that might be more a pre-emptive strike against myself..

Married guy with a single cab.

Shit, my 2010 has power nothing and only has delay wipers because I installed the stalk.

    Dafuq is that off?

Same, I have no office space so we're both set up in the dining room. Microsoft teams has a feature where it blurs the background. We have to use video calls now since its supposed to make us work better or something. ...I still wear basically the same Bruins flannel pants and hoodie every day

The GF has taken over both garage bays, so the truck is out in the open. Since I don't wear gloves, hitting the remote start 30 seconds to a minute before I leave so the wheel & seat heaters run beats the hell out of grabbing onto a -15 degree steering wheel. :notsure:

    ?
    Aren't you only like 45?

Until I bought my '10 Tacoma back in 2013 I'd never even had power windows or locks before lol. That had both, and cruise control AND fog lights! This current truck is a spoiler; hands free for the phone, audio controls on the steering wheel, power windows, locks, seats, rear slider, heated seats and wheel...the list goes on.
Some of it's stuff I'd never wanted before, but now that I've had it I'd notice if it were gone :notsure:

    48. Which feels like 100 years older than when I was 45 for some reason.

Heated steering wheel seems stupid. Either wear driving gloves or just wait the 30 seconds it takes to heat up from your hands

I hate driving with gloves on! Doesn't matter how cold it is, I won't drive with gloves or a coat on. My 2 - F-250s came with the vinyl steering wheel that didn't really warm up, or never really felt warm. I swapped them over to the Lariat leather wheel and it makes a pretty big difference in how it feels.

I thought the same until I had one, but it's great. I hate driving gloves, and the heated wheel saves me the trouble of heating it up with my hands.
