What’s up guys, I’m looking to upgrade my stock speakers in the near future. Any recommendations? Looking for some great quality speakers for an affordable price.

I “tested” this kit for *********. I use “tested” lightly because while the kit is great, they never actually followed up with me on how my testing was going and I had a little issue with their definition of plug and play, it’s a long story, but the kit really is good.
Honestly it’s a great upgrade for someone on a budget, and it clearly provided a great change in sound. I paired it with a pioneer 2400nex and the sound is night and day compared to the stock speakers and headunit out of my 2007.

    Edit:
Did not know ********* was a washed out word now:rofl:
Welp I guess I lucked out with a good system for a “test” price but apparently TW has an issue with them. If someone knows, please show me in the direction of the thread explaining the issue with
    T a C o T u N e S
    Hey that works lol

Edit 2: looks like they were “banned” from TW for issues stemming from late orders, no show of orders, etc. My interaction with them wasn’t that bad, besides them never checking up on me testing the kit for them, but whatever, it’s a good kit.

One thing to keep in mind. A lot of times companies will come out with a “new” version of speakers that are identical to the old model. For instance, the Infinity REF6532EX are $80 a pair, whereas the spec identical REF6522EX are $46.

might you are looking for deals, it’s worth playing with model numbers to see if there’s a new set of last years model floating around.

Not sure what size you're looking for, but the Morel Maximo is great choice for better entry level comps around that price point.

I’m in the same boat as you budgetwise maybe a little lower. I’m looking at this setup...
    Rockford Fosgate all around
    R169x3 Front Lower
    R165x3 Rear
R1T-S Tweeter ($27 on Amazon for even more savings)

Crutchfield comes to $165 and includes brackets for all speakers and harnesses for Front and Rear and a cheapo plastic mounting plate for the tweeters.

I’m still looking into how the tweeters are wired. There are 4 wires going into OEM harness and only 2 on the tweeters. Not exactly sure how that works...some help there would be much appreciated!

Got the same setup added a 10in Rockville powered sub in the back. Solid system.20200320_114130.jpg 20200320_114422.jpg 20200320_114617.jpg I gutted the stock tweeters. And the Rockford Fosgate fit nicely. Double sided alien tape, glue, well secured sounds great.

These are what I will be ordering likely next week.

They won’t handle high power, but I have no plans to run an amp. I am also aware that if that changes, then I may need new speakers.
