4wd light is solid green, but not engaging

    2008 Tacoma 6sp manual
    I have a 2008 Tacoma 6 sp manual and went off roading on steep slick dirt roads. On the way back up I noticed that even though I had put the switch to 4wd and the green light is solid (no blinking), my front tires were not spinning at all. Ended up having to leave my truck there for the night.

    I’ve seen a lot of threads where people talk about the 4wd not engaging and the light blinking, but none where the light is solid and still won’t work. Any ideas?
