I am a tad late but I am in the Springfield AO. At least until I finish my build and hit the road for the foreseeable future. Or at least that is the plan, I guess I will see how things play out with everything going on right now.

Had a Tacoma for about a week now in Springfield and already love it. TRD off-road, DCSB, fairly decked out. Added a Lomax tonneau and pulled off the Predator tube steps.

Anyone want to buy some Predator tubes that came off immediately after I got the truck home?

Also curious if there’s anywhere close for some light off-road use - not rock crawling but good trails.

Glade top trail is where you want to start. From there venture down into Arkansas. We have the Mark Twain National Forest here and then the ouiticha (sp?) in Arkansas. Loads of trails to explore. Look at Artemis overland in Springfield for a great place to start building our your truck and meeting people. I’m in Springfield as well. There aren’t many of us on here and most aren’t very active but welcome all the same!

I am from down in Shell Knob MO. I just got my first Tacoma and looking for some trails! I'm going to check out Glade Top. I am only 40 minutes from NW Arkansas. how do you all find trails? certain apps or just word of mouth? looking for some local "go to" trails for burning gas.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm a big fan of Gaia GPS for planning and mapping.

Yeah Gaia is what we use. There are sites that have tracks people have driven as well. We have recorded some of our routes also.

I can tel you that Arkansas has tons of awesome route too. Look into the Ozark adventure trail recently made by Matt McClellan. He has a YouTube series on it so you can see what you are getting in to. Lots of driving to be had. Pick a national forest and get some buddies and go. Make sure you have the mvum layer so you stay on legal roads.
