Edit: In case anyone is following this thread. I’ve again reached out to Icon on a solution and had luck getting a hold of them via phone the second time around. Still waiting on a solution, but the sales rep was very reassuring.

    Hey Everyone

I’m looking for some advice. This past Wednesday (12/11) I received my order of Icon Vector 6 wheels straight from Icon Vehicle Dynamics out of California. It was after dark when FedEx finally made their delivery (the wheels sat on a truck for 3 days without being delivered). All boxes were in rough shape, but not obviously trashed upon inspection which would have caused me to decline the delivery. Unfortunately it was only discovered after opening one of the boxes that damage to the back of a wheel was present in the form of nicks in the paint down to bare metal. Another wheel is scuffed but only on the surface which I’m not worried about. Icon does a good job protecting the front of the wheel in shipping, but nothing for the back.

Per Icon’s policy I reached out to them via email within the 7 day period on 12/12. After not getting a response I then reached out to Icon again yesterday and left a voice mail, again with no response. You will see in the photos that the damage isn’t huge, but I fear that the paint around the chipped areas will eventually also start to come off. I also fear that if Icon won’t respond back to me now with a new order then how will they handle any future issues down the road? I wasn’t initially going to even reach out about the damage, but feeling ignored is really starting to aggravate me.

Has anyone else run into this issue with Icon? I’m going to reach out to them again tomorrow with a phone call, but at what point do you reach out to the shipper (FedEx) or even your credit card company for help? I just don’t want this to fall through the cracks.870BDEFA-BEA7-4E58-BFE7-2DF13CA22264.jpg

    TIA

If thats the back inside lip of the wheel, scuff with a little sandpaper and paint it and call it day.
