No, just one 27F deep cycle. It’s an X2Power from batteries+. Basically a rebranded northstar

Hmm okay, just heard of people killing their batteries running a fridge. If the power supply is low, I’ll probably try running it off the Jackery

They shouldnt be killing their batteries when the fridges have built in low voltage shutoffs that you can set.

In theory. But if you set it on Low, it will run your battery down to 10.8v. It’s dead at that point and you likely won’t be starting your truck.

Which is why that setting is only recommended for a non-starting house battery. I keep mine on mid and my old 40 has shut itself off a couple times to protect my starting battery.

@Dometic what is the max input voltage
See, if I would have read the manual then I probably would have known that.

Since you read the manual, what's the max input voltage? Will it run if I feed it 16.8v or will it blow up. It can run on 24v so I don't think it will blow up, but it might think it's a dead 24v battery instead of an overcharged 12v.

My guess is it will run fine at 16.8v since this is the max charge voltage of a 12v LifePO4 battery (like the PLB40).

@Dometic can I use lysol or clorox disinfecting wipes to clean inside/outside of the fridge?

Whether or not it’s recommended, I do. After each trip I empty it and put it in the garage with the lid cracked opened. I’ll go in a day later and clean it all out and wipe it down so it’s ready for the next time.

Thanks for the info. I just purchase a CFX3 75DZ and the PLB40 Portable Battery (got a good deal). First time with a mobile fridge, currently testing it out at home since I'm in lockdown.

Very impressed with the built and how quiet it is. Dometic recommends running the refrigeration at 41F and 5F for freezing. Curious to know your thoughts?20200327_164906.jpg

I have never ran either of mine for freezing since I’ve never had a DZ. I keep my fridge at a nice 34° because I like my drinks chilly. Even at that it barely draws any power. 5° is a safe bet for a freezer.

One of my friends has a DZ and he set his freezer to like 28°. We learned real quick that even though it’s below freezing, that’s not a good temp for a freezer. His ice cream melted fast. So I’d say 5° is a good recommendation

Yes - this shouldn't present an issue at all. Just leave the top open after cleaning so everything can evaporate and you should be good

You can also use a simple Dawn dishwashing detergent and water solution on a washcloth to wipe down everything. That should make it squeaky clean and pleasant smelling as well.
