February 6 is when I ordered it. I suppose with everything that's going on with factories shutting down, the delivery dates got pushed out quite a bit. Since I already drive a 2004 Tacoma, I'm not in dire need of the new truck. Yet. ;-)

Yeah I realize but still thinking about a rough estimate.

Also what I ordered is a loaded OR truck (basically all options - Premium + Advanced Tech and LED upgrade) with the manual transmission. I'm guessing not tons of those around!

I also have a 2019 already, so definitely not worried about it breaking down anytime soon!

Doubtful, betting that’s a bare bones OR. You have a strange obsession with the LED package, its $485 dude, just factor it in to whatever you're looking at.

I have a strange LED package obsession, too. It’s a fucking unicorn in Texas.

I mean I get it, but asking every poster if they got it?

And yep for some reason they are just rare, even on fully optioned trucks. Weird to me. I love mine.

I’ll eventually find one I can live with. The toyota dealer in Plano claims they ordered one for me. We’ll see if it ever comes across the border.

The virus has changed a lot and I figure the longer they take, the better deal I’ll get. My target right now is 38k for a 43k truck. But I am not going to be too cocky about it. Everyone is hurting.

For sure man, thats more than reasonable especially with rebates and what not. I paid $39.2k for my truck that was $44.8k with only the $500 rebate. Totally doable and that was literally 2 weeks before all this nonsense (sort of wish I had waited lol).

I got mine a few days after the 1500 rebate and i sorted wished I had waited too since I am suppose to stay home and shelter anyway. But I really like the truck, I go out to the garage at least once a day just to gaze upon it.

Oh I can afford mine and LOVE mine, I just know given the circumstances I could have got a better deal lol.

Yeah, who knew. From what I have seen you are quite knowledgeable and probably did better than most are doing now even with the virus discounts. I had three other dealers tell me they couldn't come close to the price I got the truck for here locally. So I went for it and really no regrets and still got a bit more off besides, I just always wonder could I of done even better? I will know if the rebate goes up in April, lol. After a while though, how much is your time worth, at a certain point it's blankety blank or get off the pot. For me since mine is not as popular of a configuration, it was helpful price wise.

Thank you for your response. I think you are right. I have a 2005 Tacoma now. When I bought it it had a lift and these giant tires. After driving it for several years I realize that I don't really need it. It has low miles (50K) and the only reason I am looking to change is that it is an AC and with a growing kid, one dog and soon to be another dog, it is tight. I can live without some of the bells and whistles to save a good amount of money because it will only be driven on the weekends.

We spend a lot of time in the Catskills on the weekends and the upgraded Bilstein's on my current truck are great. I used to drive up all the time in my daily driver (BMW X1) but the roads are so bad here (you cannot imagine) I hit a pothole on the freeway and it wrecked the front end. The bill was $4,700 to fix (fortunately insurance paid for that)! An SR5 with good tires and good shocks and I should be fine.

We also like to head north to extreme parts of Northern Quebec where there are no roads. It is not overlanding, of course, but pretty challenging off road drives. The current SR5 had handled it well -- and the Nitto Grapplers have been great.

Plus, with the money I save I could easily ship you a case of beer ... :)

I couldn't agree more. Sorry to have hijacked the conversation in another direction. But I will be pricing some SR5s so it kind of applies, right?

Yep, pricing thread. Well last year when I bought the 2019 ( I have a 2020 now ) the main differences were the wipers, fogs, and keyless entry although for a fee you could get keyless on the SR. This year most of that came with the SX pkg like I said, now I don't know if the SR5 has the power seat option or not, wasn't a factor for me, but for some that could be pretty cool. I also prefer the non chrome bumper and last year the SR5 had the chrome. On the SR the SX pkg is a really nice deal for the $. Could be the base prices are closer together for 2020. Tbuffet summed it up pretty well, just depends on what features are worth to you. Whatever you decide as a buyer you definitely have a nice virus advantage right now.

Right now that's it, I'm in an accelerated 2nd degree nursing program post active duty, right before I left sold 2 of my dirt scooters, only have the 2017 CRF250R hanging out in the garage and my tool box as far as toys these days. Next big purchase will be my first house which savings is still there (glad I didnt put it all in my retirement account) once I figure out where I want to live (not IL).

Agreed, someone will always get a better deal somewhere, not worth stressing every penny. And I still had to fight for my deal, IL dealers just don't budge, took me a month of having to go back and forth between 2 dealers. AZ was super easy since that's taco country and lots of dealers around / large inventory. At the end of the day I'm happy with my 12% off MSRP and 1.9% rate. Could I have tried to get 15% with rebates, etc. maybe but I wasnt waiting and there was limited inventory of my config in the region and color (tons of black for some reason).

Lol! No worries dude, beer on me anytime you're in chi town and this nonsense is over. I would say just get what you need for the lowest price and build it how you want or save the money. Just don't sit in a TRD loaded truck because then if your like me you'll want all the bells and whistles even if you don't need them.
