    Hi All,

I have a SnugTop Camper-Shell and I'm thinking of getting a Roof Top Tent, specifically the Tepui Ayer Sky 2 which weighs about 110 lbs.

I'm wondering if my camper shell will be strong enough to support the weight of the roof top tent and 2 (135 pound) people? Does anyone have a set-up similar to this?

My SnugTop, which I bought used, came with Thule tracks and cross bars.
I'll probably contact SnugTop to see if they can give me some definitive info on weight ratings.

On another note - how detrimental to handling is a roof top tent. Obviously all that weight up high isn't great, but will 75 of the highway feel sketchy? Is the wind noise terrible?

Why a camper shell & a roof top tent... well it'd be nice not to have to pull all the stuff out of my bed to sleep in there.

    Thanks,

    Jack
