    It looks like the bottom seam below the hole is a little chewed up too. My 2016 didn’t have any problems up until I sold it a few months ago.

    I also live in Ottawa, and haven't had any trouble with my OEM Tonneau (got is about 2yrs ago). It even had an inch of ice on it at one point (I dont drive it much), so I don't think the weather is much of a factor.
